Remember what I wrote yesterday: "I hope Cogeco does not have technical problems at Council tonight."
Well something happened. The Council session was not broadcast until 9 PM. Who wanted to see Prof Weis answer question about the Schwartz Plan anyway.

To add to the "Agenda not available on the web on Monday" paranoia : M.Weis' availability for questions was not noted on the agenda that was available Friday, but only listed on the final agenda Mon. night.
ReplyDeleteThen Cogeco ran a blue 'technical difficulty" screen starting at 6 and
only ran the session tape delay at 9.
If I did not know for a fact that Estrin has hired Navigator PPG, the
"outcome getting communications strategists", I would say this paranoia is groundless.
However, with a cut throat PR firm at the helm, can you underestimate their will to spin/suppress/control?
Schwartz related council matters have come up twice. The first time there was 7 delegations and it was deferred. The second time there was 14 or 15, it was deferred. Perhaps they feared 30 critical delegations last night, and did not want it televised.
Those who stayed up saw the true colours of this council. Hard to see why they are outraged when their own Environment Committee makes a simple request to see the details. What are they hiding?
